Milla Farrington

I work across visual art, writing, design, and research to explore how we perceive, interpret, and make meaning of the world around us.

About Me

I’m Milla Farrington, an interdisciplinary artist and storyteller studying Studio Art at Hollins University, with minors in Creative Writing and Art History. My work brings together traditional and digital art, photography, writing, visual research, and graphic design, exploring the connections between artistic expression, storytelling, and visual culture.

I create to understand the world, process my experiences, and find beauty in the in-between. Drawn to nature, memory, identity, and the ways we perceive our surroundings, I explore the connections between what we see, what we feel, and what remains unspoken. My perspective is shaped by curiosity, close observation, and a desire to discover meaning in ordinary moments. Whether through making, writing, or researching, I approach each project as an opportunity to ask questions, experiment, and see familiar things differently.

As I continue my studies, I look forward to expanding my creative practice, exploring museum and gallery work, and finding new ways to connect art, research, and storytelling with the communities around me.

Let’s Connect
